FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The course is delivered in English.

There are no specific requirements to be able to join the programme.

Anyone interested in coaching can join, regardless of their background, experience and education. Though some of our students have already practiced coaching, most of the participants have never formally coached before.

To apply to an ICF ACC accreditation, you need to meet the following requirements:

  1. At least 60 hours of coach-specific training.
  2. A minimum of 100 hours of coaching experience with at least 8 clients following the start of your coach-specific training. Maximum 30 of these hours can be pro-bono coaching.
  3. 10 hours of Mentor Coaching over a minimum of three months.
  4. An audio recording and written transcript of a coaching session at ACC level.
  5. Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA) during the application process.

If you have any additional questions about the ICF credentialing process, please visit ICF website for more information.

On the first day of the programme you will be provided a template of an ICF Coaching Log and you will be explained how to use it.

You can practice paid coaching in different ways. The ICF defines “paid coaching” as follows:

  • Peer-to-peer coaching (coaching another coach and receiving coaching in return)
  • With paying clients (payment may be in any amount, or exchange of goods or services)
  • Internal coaching (as part of the coach’s employment)
  • Third-party coaching (when the coach receives payment from an organisation for coaching a client. Payment may be in any amount or barter of goods or services).
  • Team/Group coaching
Visit the ICF website for more information on the experience requirements.

Yes the course is enough to practice as a coach. The ICF accreditation is not mandatory. However we strongly encourage coaches to aim for an ICF certification, which validates your training and experience and is highly recognised.

According to the ICF, the 10 hours of Mentor Coaching must be completed over a period of 3 months minimum to the date you submit your credential application.

The last training day of the Certification is dedicated to the 7 hours of Group Mentor Coaching. You will need to book the remaining 3 hours of individual mentoring after you complete the training and once you have started accruing coaching hours.

More information on the ICF website.

Unfortunately the training dates can’t be changed as the trainer and people who booked their place have already committed to them.

We run the programme 5 to 6 times per year and try to offer a mix of part-time and full-time, as well as weekdays and weekends, to suit as many people as possible. Feel free to leave your email address above to receive an email when new dates are made available.

You will be asked to practice a few hours of coaching and journal about them. You will also watched a series of  videos related to ICF Code of Ethics, and read an article about coaching. Notes and reflection need to be documented on a template we will share with you on the first day in order to validate this section of the training.

There will not be any essays or case studies to submit.
