Our approach

Our teaching methodology

Our teaching approach is student-centered and inquiry-based:

  • Student-centered: the trainer and participants play an equally active role in the learning process. Our primary role is to facilitate learning and overall comprehension of the materials, and measure progress through the observation of coaching sessions.
  • Inquiry-based: inquiries and direct questions from participants are an essential part of the learning process and we always take time to answer them. We offer guidance and support throughout the programme.

We act as facilitators, models and resources. We put a strong emphasis on fostering hands-on learning and autonomy. We actively demonstrate to participants the coaching process we teach. We answer questions and review progress each day. Participants play an active and participatory role in their own learning.

The learning environment we offer

We strive to offer an online learning experience as warm and welcoming as an in-person course. That’s why we deliver the programme in small classes of 6 people maximum for everyone to find their place in the group and to allow for spontaneous questions and observations throughout the training. We also print and send the course materials to you beforehand so you don’t have to do it yourself or follow the content on an electronic device.

Our coaching philosophy

Our coaching practice and the coaching we teach are anchored in the principles of positive psychology, as well as emotional intelligence and mindfulness.

  • We strongly believe in helping people identify their strengths and learn how to leverage them to design the life they want to have. It doesn’t mean ignoring the negative, it means helping them reframe it into something more constructive to become more confident and kinder to themselves.
  • We believe in the importance of working with emotions. Supporting others recognise and correctly name their emotions and that of others, and how to regulate them, is a crucial part of the role of a coach.
  • We work with mindfulness as a way to empower people to shift their focus on what they can influence, and avoid rumination and worry on things they don’t control. Mindfulness also helps us coaches understand what is happening during the session and develop a reflective practice that will support our professional growth.
  • We work with evidence-based models and theories that have been empirically researched and proven to be relevant for the work we do. We believe in the science of Psychology and Coaching.
